Dr. Jose L. ‘Pepe’ Rodriguez was born in Orange Walk Town, Belize. Son of Dr. Jose Luis Rodriguez Estrella and Mrs. Gladys Gabriela Garcia de Larrea. He graduated from La Inmaculada Primary School in O.W. Town and from St. John’s College High School and Junior College (Associate of Science) in Belize City and pursued further studies in Cuba.

Dr. Rodriguez received his medical degree from Universidad de Sciencias Medicas de La Habana (USMH) Cuba, Facultad ‘General Calixto Garcia Iniguez’ in 2007. He completed a specialty in General Integral Medicine (Family Medicine) and a Master’s degree in Infectious Diseases from the USMH Facultad de Guines in 2009. He completed his training as a Specialist in Dermatology from USMH Facultad ‘Comandante Manuel Fajardo’ in 2012.

Dr. Rodriguez returned to Belize in 2013 and founded BELIZE DERMATOLOGY CENTER in 2016 where he presently works from. He also offers dermatology services at Belmopan Medical Centre and Garden City Medical Center (Belmopan City, Belize).
